This is a list of sports competitions that are named after a sponsor. Sports competition organising bodies sometimes sell their names to increase revenue for themselves and their member teams although this is often frowned upon by some sports organisations such as UEFA who ban sponsors' names to be used when addressing a competition.[1] If the original name box is blank that means the competition from being formed has always had a sponsor name. The critiera for inclusion in this list is that it has to be the top league or cups in which the top tier teams participate of it's respective sport. This can also include top level continental competitions.
