Elgsland (known formally as Republic of Elgsland) is a claimed micronation, within The United States of America. Elgsland was founded by Daniel O'Connor (b. September 26, 2002) and is located near his home on the south shore of Boston, Massachusetts. The micronation was created on January 8th, 2018. (Republic of Elgsland is part of The U.S)

Elgsland comes from many Nordic languages all meaning Moose. (Elg is Danish, Eland is Dutch, Elg in Norwegian and älg in Swedish)

The Constitution for the Republic of Elgsland can be found below. (written on Jan. 9th, 2018)

(Preamble)"This earth that we call home has been sliced up into many nations. On January the eighth, two-thousand and eighteen, our group has declared independence. (Freedom of Speech) We was people on have decided that with our voices, that we may express, protest and agree with what or whomever we choose. (Freedom to vote) Under the Elgsland Government, our leaders shall be chosen by the people to serve 3 month long terms. (Freedom to own property) As humans, we collect and destroy. The government may not take that right way from us. (Freedom to own Firearms) A prosperous nation requires defence. So whether for sport, defence or to rise against a tyrannical force, the people of Elgsland have the right to own any Firearms necessary. (Freedom to a fair and speedy trial) if crimes were to be committed a fair and just trial should be instituted. The trial should also be speedy and at a timely manner. (Final statement) Through the flames of hell, may this micronation survive it all until the end of time" - Daniel O'Connor
