I am curating a list of important figures and events in Chinese history that needs more attention on en-wiki. If the article exists, I have also put its classification. Usually, these articles can either be expanded, or they demand more citations and clean-up.

Tang (618 – 907)

• Wang Bo (poet): poet and politician
• Luo Binwang: poet

Song (960 – 1279)

• Emperor Taizu of Song
• Emperor Zhenzong
• Ouyang Xiu: historian, poet, calligrapher, writer, and politician (Chinese FA, could expand a lot)

Yuan (1271 – 1368)

Ming (1368 – 1644)

• Tumu Crisis: important military and political crisis

• Wang Zhen (eunuch): servant to the emperor whose decisions lead to the Tumu Crisis
• Yu Qian: official who led the defense of Beijing during the Tumu Crisis

• Gui Youguang: writer and scholar
• Tianqi Emperor
• Xu Guangqi: Chinese Catholic polymath, politician, and writer (could use some copyediting and expansion)

• Candida Xu: Chinese Catholic

• Johann Adam Schall von Bell: German Jesuit missionary in China and scientist at the imperial court
• Xu Xiake: travel writer and geographer

Qing (1636 – 1912)

• Gu Yanwu: writer and scholar
• Ji Yun: writer, philosopher, and politician
• Empress Dowager Longyu

Republic of China (1912 – 1949)

• Liang Qichao: activist, thinker, politician. (Important long article!)
• Tongmenghui: precursor of KMT

• Second Guangzhou Uprising: failed uprising against Qing

• Huang Yanpei: politician, writer and educator
• Lu Xiaoman: artist

Beiyang

• Xu Shichang: president of the Republic of China
• Cao Kun: president of the Republic of China
• Li Yuanhong: president of the Republic of China
• Feng Guozhang: vice-president of the Republic of China

Nanking

• Hu Hanmin: political philosopher and politician
• Yu Youren: scholar and politician
• Jiang Baili: military strategist and general

• Zeng Qi: politician

• Young China Party: third largest party in RoC outside of KMT and CPC
