Early life

[edit]

Jitesh Thakur attended St. Edmunds School where he devoted a majority of his time towards participating in, and organizing, extracurricular activities such as plays, dance programs and fashion shows. A big movie buff, he often stayed indoors watching movies. After graduating high school, he first considered moving to Mumbai to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. However, following his parents’ guidance, he completed his degree in Electrical Engineering from the Swami Keshwanand Institute of Technology Management, Jaipur. [4] During this time, he learned to balance his education and his passion for modelling.[5]

Career

[edit]

After graduating college, he instantly landed a job as a real estate marketing manager. Jitesh enjoyed a brief, yet successful career in this field. After two years, he was no longer happy with marketing and yearned to pursue a career in modelling. His parents, Naresh Kumar and Meena, and his sister, Bhoomika, supported his decision to leave his job. It was at this point that he quit his job and auditioned for Mr. India, 2015, gaining his first exposure as a professional. He won the award for the subcategory ‘Most Photogenic’ and became an instant success. He then moved to Mumbai to pursue modelling fulltime. Jitesh has represented several international brands and esteemed designers, and walked the ramp at prestigious fashion shows hosted by Lakme and Amazon. In 2016, he represented India at Mister Supranational and returned home to a warm welcome after achieving a second runners-up place. Following his success on the international ramp, Jitesh is set to star in his first film.[5]
