There are many who are named after the day they were born. Penpa (སྤེན་པ་) meaning 'Saturday' and Tsering (ཚེ་རིང་) meaning 'long life'.

  6. ^ His sudden termination from the responsibility of Office of Tibet, provoked the conscience of the Tibetan people and many protests were organized against Sikyong Lobsang Sangay and his Cabinet for the injustice. The Cabinet has till date not responded to the clarification made by Penpa Tsering on 5th December 2017 against allegations of trust deficit, under-performance and insubordination. Many believe it is a classic case of political vendetta.
