I am an emeritus professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Utah, as well as a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and (in early career) principal researcher and manager at Sandia National Laboratories. My work in applied mathematics focuses on tensor analysis, analytical geometry, and Monte-Carlo methods, with emphasis on high-rate large-deformation mechanics.
