Mark Humphries (born 2 October 1985) is a television personality, writer, comedian and satirist.

Personal life

Humphries is the grandfather of politician Ted Humphries[1] and the father of weatherman Allan Humphries.[2]

Media career

As a guest, he appeared on Question Everything,[3] and other programs like Celebrity Letters and Numbers.[4]

In 2013, he debuted in ABC2's satirical news program The Roast.[5] In 2016, he joined The Feed on SBS alongside writer Evan Williams.[2]

From 2018 to 2019, Humphries co-hosted the Australian version of Pointless on Network 10, alongside Andrew Rochford.[6] In October 2018, he joined the ABC's 7.30 to present a satirical comedy segment airing every second Thursday with Williams transferring.[7]

In August 2023, Williams and Humphries left 7.30 due to ABC's budget cuts.[8] In June 2024, he joined the Seven Network[9] to present a satirical comedy segment, The 6:57pm News, debuting in July, running each Friday for 3 minutes at the end of 6 pm Seven News bulletins.[10]
