Swedish Hasbeens is a Swedish owned by the company Swedish Hasbeens AB and was founded 18th of January 2007 by Emy Blixt and Cecilia Wingård. The Swedish Hasbeens office is located in Stockholm, Sweden. CEO is Cecilia Wingård.
Swedish Hasbeens' main product is modern clogs and accessories, but also produce product categories like bags and belts. The company's sales has more than doubled every year since 2007. By December 2007 Swedish Hasbeens' had sold 12.000 clogs world-wide. By 2008 they had sold over 30.000 shoes.
Their products can be found in more than 50 shops in more than 15 countries. The Hasbeens clogs, bags and belts are based on original 70’s models and are made of ecologically prepared natural grain leather without any chrome in the tanning process. They are still handmade in the same small Swedish factory since the 1970's.
The shoes of the Swedish fashion brand Swedish Hasbeens were chosen as the trend of the year in Sweden at the annual Trend Award Gala 2008[1] in Stockholm sponsored by Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
Story[edit]
Swedish clogs became popular in the seventies and eighties for both sexes. The history behind the brand is that the founders grew up in a small village and were inspired by a woman named Anita who was the hottest mum in all of southern Sweden in the 1970’s. One summer day in 2006 Emy and Cilla found the old stock of the shoes she wore (300 pairs of red, white and black beautiful clogs from the 70’s) in the basement of an old clog factory in the neighboring village and brought them to Stockholm. Before long a public request made them design new clogs and the production started at the end of 2006.
