Tad Druart was born August 31, 1964 in Parson, KS, to Carl and Mary Sue Druart. At the age of five the family moved to Chanute, KS where his father taught high school social studies and his mother worked with kindergarten students. After graduating from Chanute Senior High School, Druart attended Kansas Newman College (now Newman University) with a degree in Communications/Speech and a minor in English. While at Newman,Druart was twice named-academic all america as a baseball player.

Druart moved to Austin, TX upon graduation to work for Special Olympics, Texas as a program manager handling events, training, fundraising and other aspects of volunteer management. He held a similar post with the athletic department at Texas State University. After various professional communications positions with National Instruments, Dell and LCRA, Druart now serves as Director of Communications for Convio.

Druart is married. With his wife Nancy he is happily raising three children.
