Boeing 747-300 (RR)
[edit]The Boeing 747-300 had a stretched upper deck to fit more passengers, it was also used as a retrofit for the 747-100 and 200 called the "SUD" (Stretched Upper Deck).

Almost all of Cathay Pacific's 747-300s were repainted in the Brushwing Livery by the time the handover on July 1 1997 occurred, notice the PRC, Hong Kong and British Flags are not featured on the Livery to make it look neutral to all countries and territories.

[edit]The Boeing 747-400 is one of the most advanced 747 variants other than the 747-8 series. It allowed airlines such as Cathay Pacific or Qantas to fly non-stop across the Pacific Ocean before the A340, A330, MD-11 and 777 were available as well as carrying large amounts of Passengers. This version has Rolles Royce RB-211-524 engines.

Starting with VR-HOT (now B-HOT) Cathay Pacific started repainting in 1994 its entire fleet (except VR-HOX) to the Brushwing livery. By the handover, there were still a few unpainted from the Green Lettuce Sandwhich Livery.

McDonnell Douglas MD-11
[edit]The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 was McDonnell Douglas's answer to the 747SP although when it entered service, it had to compete with newer Airbus A330s and A340s as well as the Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 777-200. When McDonnell Douglas was bought by Boeing in 1997, the MD-11 line was reduced due to inside competition with 777 with the last one being completed in 2001
