Timothy Koskie is a researcher at the Centre for Media Transition at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). He is currently working on two of the Centre's projects - Valuing News and Implications of Generative AI for knowledge integrity on wikipedia. He has completed a doctoral degree, investigating news comments’ potential as a form of media pluralism, which he conducted at the CMT. He has also has two master’s degrees in media and communications as well as qualifications in teaching, teaching management, writing, and languages.

He has been conducting undergraduate and graduate courses in media sociology, online media, international media, and research methods at the University of Sydney and UTS has taught undergraduate and postgraduate seminars and tutorials in multiple fields across media, internet governance, and digital cultures. In addition, he has nearly two decades of experience in publishing and education and has taught in and conducted courses on media and communication skills across 14 years in the US, Australia, Spain, and South Korea.
