Tales from the Stage, Volume 1 is a nonfiction book consisting of in-depth interviews with hard rock and heavy metal music professionals who have helped shape the hard rock and heavy metal movement. The book is authored by Michael Toney, and is known for the hard hitting personal questions that were asked and answered during the interviews

Tales from the Stage, Volume 1 includes 60-70 question interviews with 15 hard rock insiders: Bruce Kulick (Kiss,Grand Funk Railroad), Jay Reynolds (Malice, Metal Church), Herman Rarebell (Scorpions), Tim “Ripper” Owens (Judas Priest, Dio Disciples), Eddie Trunk (Radio/TV personality), Jeff Duncan (Armored Saint, DC4), Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns), Paul Shortino (Quiet Riot, King Kobra), Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P.), Oz Fox (Stryper), Steve “Lips” Kudlow (Anvil), Betsy Bitch (Bitch), Ron Keel (Keel, Steeler), Brian Slagel (CEO, Metal Blade Records), and Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Foreigner).

Tales from the Stage, Volume 1 partnered with the non-profit organization, Ride for Dime (RFD). A portion of all book sales are donated to RFD which is committed to furthering music education for America’s youth.
