Call me Matty!

I've been an avid user of Wikipedia for years, but I've been too afraid to make an account. However, just today, I found the article for Smells Like Bleach: A Punk Tribute to Nirvana, and saw that someone had vandalized it. Vandalized articles are a pet peeve of mine, but this time it went too far. I undid it using the edit page for the article, and it logged my IP address. However, I decided that it would be good for me to allow my edits to have a better identity attached to them, so here I am.

I have many different scholarly interests I self-study when I can: linguistics, sociology, psychology, philosophy, culture, and language.

I also enjoy studying Europe and Asia, with my favorite countries being Germany, Poland, Sweden, Japan, the PRC, and the ROK.

My hobbies include the internet, computers, music, reading, videogames, and spending time with my boyfriend.

I'm currently going to college at Rasmussen College in St. Cloud, Minnesota. My major is web design, but I am considering to changing it to something in the health care field.

I live in America, but I would like to move elsewhere due to my views on politics, religion, philosophy, economics, and lifestyle. Because of my views, I am (of course) a huge supporter of things like the internet, Wikipedia, and the promotion of free information. I do believe people have a right to all information. Honesty is one of my most important values, along with subjectivity; this makes me a person who wants to tell the truth and have their own way in life. The late comedian George Carlin was my hero, second only to my boyfriend. I'd enjoy moving to Europe, Canada, or Japan, but I'd say that for now, I'm grateful to live in Minnesota, a very liberal state in the USA.

I plan to mostly edit articles here that are vandalized; at least to start. I'm hardly brave enough to write any, although I do enjoy writing. I speak and write American English very well, but I also know a good bit of German and a tiny bit of Japanese.

I guess that's it for now. I hope to be fairly active around here so that I can keep the information relevant and correct.
