Tahlia Brown
[edit]Eniola Laotan (Brown born 29th of April 2001) is an Irish singer songwriter from Dublin Ireland.
Career
[edit]Born to a Nigerian Mother and an American father, Tahlia grew up in Dublin, East Ireland. She attended Presentation College Athenry Galway, where she attended Secondary School.
Tahlia gained prominence as a singer in 2017 when, she remixed Jhus's Fisherman Remix, which was undoubtedly created for fun. On recording and producing the remix she was approached by producers from Galway and Dublin to create a new sound, and embellish her love for R&B music. In July of June of 2016 she began working on her EP Shameless [Music 1]
Her debut EP, Sameless, is soon to be released in August 2017 through her personal Records; it includes her single "Ugly" Another track on the EP, "Low-Key", was deemed passionate and deep with insights to the life of a lonely lover being used in modern day society.[1]
Tahlia is one of the youngest R&B artist's in Ireland and states that she "Is inspired by the works of the ledgendary Aaliyah and TLC" She began to openly sing and record in the beginning of 2017 and was ultimately motivated to keep creating music of which she writes herself.[2]
Artistry
[edit]Tahlia's musical influences include Aaliyah, Erykah Badu, TLC, Monica, Tina Turner, and Amy Winehouse. Tahlia's soft, soulful voice and range has drawn comparisons to Mabel McVey, but her recordings are more deep and contemporary—a brand of Soul and 90's Vibes reminiscent of Sarah Harnett and Aba
