Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Hi--If you can tell me what facts need to be cited, I'll try my best. It would take me too long to find out which link he mentions corresponds with which fact and so on.

I'm also going to college in two weeks, so I'm not going to be on as much.

Also, if it doesn't pass through this time, you should probably bring it up to peer review and the League of Copyeditors.--CyberGhostface (talk) 14:34, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

I gave it a start. You can check out your original post or the history to see the progress I made.--CyberGhostface (talk) 15:57, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
According to the article on Ref 13, the webmaster got all his info from Cinefastique. I e-mailed asking him for the specifics of the article, so the magazine itself should hopefully be considered a reliable source.--CyberGhostface (talk) 16:27, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
I think there is too much work that needs to be done with that article before it can be FA.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 17:08, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Please don't take my oppose as a personal jab. You have certainly done a lot of work on the article since the last time that I ventured to the page. I just think there is a lot of clean up still to be done. This is one of the most influential films in American cinema, not to mention the horror genre. I think there is going to be a lot of stuff out there for this film to be placed in the article.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 18:46, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

I replaced the TCM.net links with the Cinefastique magazine that the site listed as it's main source for that section.--CyberGhostface (talk) 20:30, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Re: Copyedit request

Sure, I'll be over there in due time. As an aside, good to see someone actually used my request system! –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 19:09, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

I will also take a look at the article sometime this week. Gmazeroff (talk) 02:21, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Little Britain USA logo.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Little Britain USA logo.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:13, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Re: Copyedit request

Done. I gave it a fairly light copyedit to fix MoS breaches, small cosmetic stuff, and a few word tweakings. I had a couple comments, otherwise. First, there are several references that need to be formatted. Also, I'd like to see some more Development history. Cheers. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 20:19, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Copyedit request

I'll try to copyedit The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (franchise), but, as it's seriously lacking references, I might not be able to do a full copyedit. Cheers, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 16:09, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Texas franchise

I'll give some suggestions to start, and then when I get around to it I'll try and implement what I can. I would first look at the format of Halloween (franchise), A Nightmare on Elm Street (franchise) and Friday the 13th (franchise) - notice how the films are listed and the other forms of media as well. Because this is a franchise page, and the fact that most of those characters are not that notable (beyond Leatherface...none of the Texas characters warrant a page), I would condense all of the individual articles into a Characters of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre page. Then, I would move the "cast/characters" section of the franchise page to that page (you can clean that page up later). This leaves the focus on the franchise as a whole, instead of individual films and how they may or may not be in continuity.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 18:33, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

I think you should start general and work your way out. It's usually best to create a page that houses everyone and then see who needs (and who warrants one) to be split afteward.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 15:00, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Leave it right now. I haven't even begun to look for sources for this topic yet (I have a lot of other side projects going). Something may turn out, and right now the page isn't any better with or without it.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 16:28, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Please return to WikProject Media franchises

Dear EclipseSSD...You are invited to come back to discuss WikiProject Media franchises. Since you participated in one or more discussions of the project, possibly when it was known as WikiProject Fictional series, I hope to see you return to it. The project needs your participation. Currently there is no activity on the project's talk page about the reorganization which is discouraging. I had great expectations for this project as it touches so many topics but am becoming discouraged. I hope to see you return. LA (If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page.) @ 19:21, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

TCM lobbying

Absolutely and categorically not going to happen. You seem to misunderstand: these articles are not selected by individuals - the 0.7 project has statistical formulae that pick the articles. Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 19:12, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
