William J. Brennan High School

William J. Brennan High School will be the 10th and the newest high school in the Northside Independent School District of San Antonio, Texas, United States. It is scheduled to open for the 2010-2011 school year. The school is located at 2400 Cottonwood Way, San Antonio, Texas 78253, near Wiseman Blvd. just off of Loop 1604 west of Seaworld. It will open as a 5A high school with freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The first senior class at William J. Brennan High School will graduate in 2012.

Area Served By William J. Brennan H.S.

Brennan will serve all areas west of Loop 1604 from just south of the Alamo Ranch neighborhoods west to the Medina County/Bexar County line, extending south to near Marbach Road and its intersection at Grosenbacher Road. The far west areas of San Antonio, Texas are experiencing rapid growth and William J. Brennan H.S. will help to alleviate crowded conditions at neighboring William Howard Taft High School and John Paul Stevens High School.

Gerardo Marquez has been chosen as the first principal of Brennan H.S.

Namesake, Mascot and School Colors

As with all the high schools in the Northside Independent School District, it was named after a United States Supreme Court Justice,William J. Brennan. A decision has not yet been made concerning a mascot or school colors.

Feeder Schools

Feeder elementary schools include: Behlau (opens 2010), Galm, Hoffman, Langley, Lieck (opens 2011) and Ott.

Feeder middle schools include: Luna and Briscoe (opens 2010).
