Joyce Cisse,[1] known professionally as Flowerovlove, is an English singer and model. She is currently signed with Capitol Records. Her first EP, Think Flower, released in 2020, which was followed in 2022 by her sophomore EP A Mosh Pit in the Clouds.
Early life
[edit]Joyce Cisse was born in South London[2] and raised in Essex. Her parents were from the Ivory Coast.[3]
Music career
[edit]Cisse released her debut EP, Think Flower, in 2020. Cisse was subsequently named Future Artist of the Month by BBC Radio 1. Her second EP, A Mosh Pit in the Clouds, released in 2022. In 2023, she signed with Capitol Records, with whom she released several singles, including "A Girl Like Me", "Coffee Shop", and "Next Best Exit".[4]
Cisse performed at Glastonbury Festival in June 2024.[1][4] Her third EP, Ache In My Tooth, was released on 11 October 2024. On the same day, Cisse was awarded the New Artist trophy at Music Week's Women in Music Awards.[4] Her song "Love You" was featured in the third season of Heartstopper.[3]
Modelling career
[edit]Cisse has modelled for Gucci,[4] but quit after about six months.[1] She has since modelled for several brands, including Mulberry and Maison Kitsuné. Cisse has also attended several fashion week events,[1][5] including London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week.[6]
Personal life
[edit]Cisse stated in a 2023 interview with Office Magazine that she chose a stage name to separate her personal and work life.[1]
