WikiProject Big Brother

[edit]

Hi, FireSpike. According to this page, you are a member of the Big Brother WikiProject. It would appear, perhaps because Big Brother isn't airing in Australia, the United Kingdom, or the United States at the moment, that activity on Big Brother-related articles has died down quite a bit. Between seasons is a good time to be editing Big Brother-related articles as this is probably the only time where Wikipedians can focus on the articles that seem to have been forgotten about without too many Big Brother-related distractions. There are a few articles just waiting to be worked on, and proposed article changes on the Project talk page that have received little feedback. Nobody is forced to do anything as a Project member, but please try to edit whatever Big Brother articles you can and help with the WikiProject's aim - to make the Big Brother articles the best that they can be! Thanks. jd || talk || 20:57, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Image:PettyVandalism.GIF listed for deletion

[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:PettyVandalism.GIF, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Peter O. RfA thanks

[edit]
Hi FireSpike, and thanks very much for your support during my recent RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of 64/0/0. I am grateful for the overwhelming support I received from the community, and hope I will continue to earn your trust as I expand my participation on Wikipedia. It goes without saying that if you ever need anything and I can help, please let me know. Wait, I guess it does go with saying. ; ) --cholmes75 (chit chat) 22:01, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi. The summary for Image:BigBrother7.JPG says that you created this image, and that it is cropped from another. Could I ask what image it is cropped from? Thanks. JDtalk 14:48, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

It was from the season 7 logo, whatever it might be called. I made on change other than cropping it, and don't know if it makes it qualify self-made now or what. I can make a completely new one if you need me too. FireSpike 20:13, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
The original image is a fair use image, so I had to delete it. I don't think releasing copyrighted stuff into the public domain is a good idea... Anyway, if you do make something else for the userbox, make something original. JDtalk 20:22, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
If I made a black and yellow bullsye myself could i use it? FireSpike 20:43, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your support!

A week ago I nominated myself, hoping to be able to help Wikipedia as an administrator as much as a WikiGnome. I am very glad many others shared my thoughts, including you. Thank you for your trust! Be sure I will use these tools to protect and prevent and not to harass or punish. Should you feel I am overreacting, pat me so that I can correct myself. Thanks again! ReyBrujo 19:23, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

I noticed thatn you recently have reverted[1] my correction[2] to the Futurama Good News userbox. The image is now red, and I wanted to avoid an edit war by reverting it back to red border. If you refresh the image page and/or the userbox page it should make the image red by bypassing your cache. Thanks for your time! Have a great Thanksgiving! --WillMak050389 22:48, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

It's not that I want the red, I just thought the colors should match. I personally prefer the old version which can be seen on my userpage, since I have subst'ed it. --WillMak050389 23:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

VandalProof warnings

[edit]

I think something's gone wrong with your VandalProof; the links it's leaving on user talk pages don't link to any articles. Might wanna have a look. JDtalk 20:59, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. It seems to be working now. I'm still getting used to these controls too. FireSpike Editor Review! 21:32, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for voting in my RfA, I passed. I appreciate your input. Please keep an eye on me(if you want) to see if a screw up. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 16:37, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

WP:BJAODN is linking incorrectly

[edit]

Hi FireSpike - I went to add a bit of humor to BJAODN and found that the Add to button is pointing to the wrong page. I caused me to create a Wikipedia:Bad Jokes and Other Deleted Nonsens is watching_you. page. Notice that the e is missing off of Nonsense. I think I've correctly nominated the erroniously created page for speedy deletion. Please read here. Thanks. --EarthPerson 23:48, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about that. FireSpike Editor Review! 23:53, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
No problem. Finally got the accidental page deleted, posted my humor and learned a thing or two. Hehehe, the first time I interject a little levity.... --EarthPerson 02:01, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Conspiracy.JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Conspiracy.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Khatru2 06:18, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

O'Reilly Factor userbox

[edit]

I like your userbox on The O'Reilly Factor. Even though we are still outnumbered 5 to 2 compared to The Colbert Report, we are still catching up on this. Let's keep the category for The Factor in an effort to find out who is interested in this. You might find on my user page in the userbox section on the opposition to the Fairness Doctrine if you are interested. Good work. Chris 15:49, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Please deal with User:Tjsynkral, he keeps blanking his talk page that has warnings on it, I've been reverting the blanks, but I can't revert it too many times because of the 3RR, unless it's obvious vandalism. Brain40 [talk] [contributions]

Hi from Scotland

[edit]

Dear Firespike, Thanks for the vandalism revert in Jelly Roll Morton page however, we are both doing the edit at the same time and both of our edis added to the page history. Though, you finished the reverts before me, however, you left one edit undone as there were five vandal edits from the same IP. So, the next time please check out the IP list as some vandals might do a lot of editing. Thank you so much for your anti-vandalism efforts. Best wishes, --Cyril Thomas 23:38, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Clean-up and Clear-up

[edit]

Please don't immediately believe the false edit that Wendy Valdez was re-evicted from the house in Pinoy Big Brother (season 2); the primary results of the open voting were not announced yet. It is user User:67.69.5.163's fault that he put the false info there. Please confirm edits first before you verify facts. That is why I have to revert your edit on the Pinoy Big Brother article; the anon's edit made you believe it without verifying. Just a reminder. - 上村七美 | talk 04:39, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the Barnstar of Good Humor. I'm glad you liked my Amazing Race Parody. However, I wasn't doing it to get some laughs on Wikipedia (Though that's a good consolation).
