The North High Redskins (often known simply as 'The Skins' in Wichita) are the soccer team of Wichita High School North. Their greatest triumph was in 1990, when they won the State Championship, and the Titan Classic. They would have won the Treble, but they missed out by a single game to Southeast for the GWAL regular season champion.

The Redskins' most recent foray into the State competition outside of regional competition was a venture into the quarterfinals in 2005. There, they faced Maize High School, who were 17-1 at the time. North lost 1-0 to a late goal, just before time expired.

The Redskins have had a tough start to the 2007 season. While they secured a 3rd place finish at the Titan Classic, they've lost their first two GWAL games by stunning scores: 4-0 to Heights, and 7-1 to Southeast. Their record is 0-2 in the GWAL, 2-3 overall.

Matthew Allen is a player on the North High Redskins soccer team. He played at the C and B team levels in prior years, and last year, broke into the Varsity squad, playing in 1 game against East High, in which he provided a long ball to Miguel Segura, who assisted Marlon Martinez on the game winning goal in overtime. He saw no playing time for the rest of the year, although he did suit up in a 2-0 loss to Liberal High School.

In 2007, coach DJ Spaeth has played him in numerous positions. He's played at right back in the defensive, at midfield in attacking positions and on the wing, and also as a forward against Heights. This has earned him the nickname Utility Man. He nearly had a goal against Southeast, having sparked the play, run upfield, and put a shot from a picture perfect pass from Miguel Soto just wide.

He played for Mooses FC in 2007, shoring up the backline at left or right back, en route to an undefeated 6-0 season, and a league championship.
