Cambridge Epigenetix Ltd (CEGX) is a start-up biosciences company that manufactures epigenetic tools[1][2][3][4]. CEGX supply TrueMethyl® oxidative bisulfite sequencing (oxBS-Seq) kits, which involve a technology that enables quantitative, single-base resolution sequencing of the modified bases 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5-hmC) and methylcytosine (5-mC)[5][6][7].

The technology was Co-invented by Prof. Shankar Balasubramanian, who previously co-invented the Solexa / Illumina sequencing-by-synthesis platform, and Michael Booth[8]. The technology was unveiled in a published paper in May 2012. The company started commercially shipping products as of August 2013.

Cambridge Epigenetix have also sponsored two events aimed at promoting and encouraging discussion of Epigenetics[9][10][11].
