Timothy O'Neal Mills (born February 23, 1994),[1] known professionally as Sickboyrari (formerly Black Kray) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer from Richmond, Virginia. He is known for his mixtapes City of Doves and Soulja Luv Rari World, founding the record label and hip hop collective Goth Money Records, and his collaborations with SpaceGhostPurrp, Drain Gang, Cole Bennett, and others.
Early Life
[edit]Mills was born in Richmond, Virginia. His cousin is fellow rapper Diamondsonmydick.
Career
[edit]Mills released his first song on MySpace when he was in the 7th grade.[2] He began uploading music under the name The Black Kreayshawn on YouTube in 2008. He was shortly a member of Raider Klan, but left in 2012 to create his own collective under the name Terrorist Posse, which later became Goth Money.
His first song to gain notoriety, "I Just Wanna Be Your Friend" was released in 2010 has accumulated over 1 million views on YouTube.[3] In 2014, he released the mixtape City of Doves, which has his most popular song to date, "Princess Cuts My Wrist," has amassed over 20 million streams on Spotify.[4] Mills has collaborated with many artists, including the former Raider Klan's Chris Travis, Xavier Wulf, and SpaceGhostPurrp, Drain Gang's Bladee, Yung Lean, as well as Lil Tracy, Hi-C, and others.
Musical Style
[edit]Mills is known as one of the early pioneers of the emo rap genre, and is also closely associated with cloud rap and Soundcloud rap. His rapping style includes the use of autotune and heavily slurred speech.
