Guma Wau (born December 12, 1960) is a Papua New Guinean politician. He was a member of the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea from 2007 to 2012, representing the electorate of Kerowagi Open, he was associated with the United Resources Party several years. He was the Minister for Culture, Tourism & Arts Culture Under Somare[1] - Polye Cabinet. He took over Defense Ministry portfolio when Peter O'Neil[2] became Prime Minister in February 2011.    Wau was a Middle - Weight  professional Boxer and a Salesman at Lae,  Morobe Province before entering politics in 1988. At aged 28, He was elected a Member of the Simbu Provincial Assembly (MPA),  representing Lower Koronigle constituency in Kerowagi District, he successfully retain his seat in 1993.   In 1995 the Wingti - Chan government abolished all Provincial Government systems throughout Papua New Guinea. Wau contested the Kerowagi Open in 1997 National Elections but lost to than Incumbent John Kamb (late).  In 2007 he successfully contested and won the Kerowagi Open Seat..   Wau was defeated by Camillus Dangma Bongro at the 2012 National   elections.

He unsuccessfully contested 2017 and 2022 Elections. Guma WauPapua New Guinea National Parliament[3]
