The theory of BDT, also known as Bacon Darwinism Theory examines the different algorithms within the Instagram coding. More Specifically, We are going to examine the feature that gives people the option to see who they follow above the following option. Simply put, the algorithm is designed to put the people who are the closest to user that you are searching up. This is extremely crazy you guys so keep reading if you are here right now. This goes deeper than just your average instagram clickbait. If you go onto the Instagram application, then search up any friend, you will notice that the 2 people listed below are always going to be their closest friends.

The BDT theory has been tested in several case studies and all of them have had the same results. After sharing this discovery with my friends, my good friend Axel and his girlfriend Rebecca got into it over this stuff.

In conclusion, the BDT proves that instagram knows and understands who someone is closest with whether it be a close friend or a partner based off of real life interaction in contrast to just social media interactions.
