For the Wikipedia project, Nathan and myself plan to edit the article on Voting rights in the United States. To begin, we will edit the page structure, and edit the content by either removal or addition of information. Also, there are grammatical errors and some sentence structure we would like to correct.
List of what we would like to change/add:
- Title (if possible)
- New CA law about redistricting
- Some paragraphs need more detail
- Beginning sentence
- Add to 24th amendment, voting,
- What years and what states were freed slaves allowed to vote
- Look up newspapers from 1964/65 and see if any critiques of law are discussed
- Include New Jersey requirements
- What laws allowed white men to vote?
- Write more about laws for recounting ballots
- Move milestone to the bottom, etc.
