Nick Vujicic
[edit]Introduction
[edit]Finding Strength within the Midst of Trials. Even when the world around us feels dark, the Bible tells us to rejoice. But how can we do that? Let's be told. Prepare your hearts to listen to God. Success always starts with failure. The more you struggle, the closer you are to achieving success.
This motivational story will definitely encourage and motivate you to follow your dreams, succeed in life, treat others with kindness, and never surrender yourself. He is such a person who, through strength & hope, has overcome life's challenges. He failed again and again, but he tried again, and again.
Early Life
[edit]Nick Vujicic is a perfect example of greatness. He was born on December 4, 1982, in Melbourne, Australia, to Dušanka and Borislav Vujicic. Phocomelia, he had no limbs. It was not hereditary, nor was it due to thalidomide. Nothing negative was revealed by the ultrasound. For this, there was just no medical explanation.
His mother initially refused to look at him or hold him when the nurse held him ahead of her after delivering him. Even before she had laid her eyes on him, she had loved him from the womb. Sadly, she was trapped between the surging emotions of worry, worry, and fear of what life held for him.
He was the first disabled child in school to be relocated to the Australian establishment. From pillar to post, he was bullied. He was laughed at, avoided, ruled out of games. With each passing day, his worries soared. Nick tried some prosthetics at age 6, but since they restricted his motion, they were more of a restraint than assistance. Apparently, he had learned a way without them to do certain stuff. No additional weight!
Unfortunately, at age 8, he suffered seriously from depression. He felt he would always be a burden for the remainder of his life and nobody will want to marry him. These odd thoughts made his life chances pretty much as good as a mirage. He had just one wish—arms and legs, that's it. He couldn't cope with the rejections he encountered outside at age 10, while his home was a sanctuary from the external storms. He then attempted to drown himself in a lake, but he was prevented from doing so by the love he had for his parents.
He attended Runcorn State High School, Queensland, Australia, where he played the part of the top boy and was also a member of the student council that performs charitable work and fundraising activities locally for charities and disability campaigns.
Nick graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor's degree in Business, where he specialized in both planning and accounting.
His mom realized that his situation was taking a toll on him and wanted sooner or later to show him a news article about a person with a significant disability, rather than Nick's. Nick Vujicic became grateful for everything from that moment on. He also said he had found peace after his relationship with God had been created.
Though he couldn't make it easy for certain stuff to happen, he believed that it was not what you had, but what you were doing with it.
He always, however, told himself that he was not afraid to struggle and take a leap again. He started looking at everything he didn't have, and he felt thankful for the many things he already had. He agreed at that point that his condition was not going to control his life. He told himself he would never again embrace defeat.
Who would have thought that Nick could brush his teeth now and wash his hair without prosthetics?
He writes up to 43 words a minute today, can throw tennis balls, play drums, shave his hair, get a drink of water, and answer a phone call as well.
