Sati Mata temple of Amawa is a popular Hindu temple located in Ghazipur of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is famous for treatment of snakebite. If a person who is bitten by a snake and reach in the temple of Sati Mata in 24 hours of snakebite, his life can be saved by worship and glory of Sati Mata. Ashes from the temple rub on the forehead of snakebite person, he can be survive. Temple is very crowded on Friday.[1]

A newly married couple of Thakur family lived happily in the village Amawa .One day husband was going for the farming, but on the way a snake bite him and he died there. After a few hours people come to know about it. When his wife hear about it, she run without shoe or sleepers. She collected wood for funeral pray and along with her husband, she also became Sati by burning herself alive in that funeral pray. A boon gave for that village was " If a snake bitten person came to village in 24 hours of snake bitten, he can be survive be her glory. A temple built by the villagers and is known as " Amawa ke Sati dham".
