Notes regarding information privacy[1]

  • In the way classification was categorized in the article, I thought Sexuality/Sexual Preference/Gender Identification might have been equally relevant[1].
  • Cable TV section:  “IP TV” not linked
  • Medical section:  HIPAA and HITECH ACT could be linked
  • Safe Harbor Program section:  “Historically, …… 95/46/EU” needs citation and links.  The section is also difficult to understand.
  • “Policy appliances”… who wrote this?? Sounds like translations into English from another language.
  • Commercial linking to Commerce an incorrect link.
  • Laws: no USA laws listed.
  • Authorities: no USA authorities listed.
  • The whole article seems poorly written and difficult to read.

Notes regarding Data Re-Identification (Tiffany)

  • When describing the process of de-identification, an example could be useful;
  • “Others do not think…” would be interesting to indicate who the “others” are;
  • Wow – this is much better written and cited, compared to Information Privacy.
  • Probably needs more developing, more info and citing.
  • First couple sentences in the Netflix paragraph need citing? In general, I think needs more development, and there are links that don’t appear to work.

Notes regarding Week 3 Citation training
