logo looks good

[edit]

I like the logo. I can't wait to see the user page to go with it. Sobar (talk) 01:36, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

WP:BOSOX

[edit]

I created a template {{WPBOSOX}} that we can place everywhere in the project; it can replace the navbar we have.   jj137 04:52, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Happy New Year!

[edit]

thanks for the new userpage

[edit]

Wow! Thanks a lot! Sobar (talk) 16:37, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Happy New Year!

[edit]

I appreciate the New Years card. If I knew how to make one I'd give you one too. --HPJoker Leave me a message 16:59, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks very much as well! I'm not sure how well the disagreements part will work out but hopefully the FA and successful edits part will :)   jj137 18:42, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Warning escalations

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you've given a level 2 warning. Given their warning history, I feel that a final warning and report to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents (who deal with non current disruption issues) would have been more appropriate. I'll report now. -- John (Daytona2 · talk · contribs) 18:34, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks and Happy New Year

[edit]

Firstly, let me wish you a very happy New Year and thank you for your help in the Milhist Tag & Assess 2007 drive.

Secondly, although the Tag & Assess 2007 drive is now officially closed, you are very welcome to continue tagging and assessing until 31 January 2008. Any articles you tag and assess during this time will be credited fully to your tagging tally for further award purposes.

Thirdly, if you can find the time, it would be great to have your feedback/comments and participation in the recently-set-up Tag & Assess workshop The idea is to see what lessons we can learn from the 2007 drive to make the 2008 one more efficient and enjoyable.

Thanks again for your help, --ROGER DAVIES talk 10:48, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

AfD barnstar

[edit]
File:Afdbarn.png
Heh? Ye likey?

I proposed a new version of your barnstar--I thought the giant "AFD" lettering overpowered the star, so I figured a simple "no" icon would go good in the background. What do you say? Two One Six Five Five discuss my greatness 20:06, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Nice barnstar, anyway.

What a Brilliant Idea Barnstar
For creating the very barnstar I redesigned. Here you go. Two One Six Five Five discuss my greatness 20:40, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
[mimicking bad Japanese game translation] You are of the welcome! Two One Six Five Five discuss my greatness 20:43, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello, please review the AFD for Bunscoill Gaelgagh. It seems likely that you may change your mind on your nomination. Thanks, JERRY talk contribs 23:58, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Fantasy Baseball

[edit]

Hiya Stormtracker,

I'm not sure how much experience you have with this but I thought you might want to give it a try. HPJoker and I are going to create a fantasy baseball league at CBS Sportsline and wanted to know if you were interested. Obviously, you don't have to; we're probably just going to create a league when the 2008 fantasy baseball season "opens", and you can come join if you like.   jj137 17:11, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't know the name of the league yet. Is ESPN free? If so we can do it there (HPJoker said you have to pay). Getting more people would be great.   jj137 17:19, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
That's cool. I'll let HPJoker know.   jj137 17:24, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be kinda hard to have a 3 man league? If we need another guy I can probably get one. --HPJoker Leave me a message 20:06, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
TOO THE FRONT DESK! --HPJoker Leave me a message 22:02, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Newsletter

[edit]

If we can't find enough content for the newsletter in any week (probably only the offseason, though), I don't see anything wrong with delaying it a week.   jj137 20:36, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Definitely. Obviously towards late February or early March we should be able to start having more than enough things to fill up the newsletter. Would it be all right to delay it this week?   jj137 20:40, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
That should also give us time to create any new (mainspace) articles. I'll fix the move.   jj137 20:43, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Done There we go, I updated everything.   jj137 20:47, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Departments

[edit]

Hehe, I saw them in RC and already joined them. They look good. :)   jj137 20:55, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Award Center additions

[edit]

I thought you might like to know (as you frequent Transhumanist's award center) that there have been a few more additions added. --Sharkface217 21:19, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Resuming

[edit]

Hi, sorry about the long break in our coaching, but my Wikipedia activity was virtually zero when I was traveling and visiting relatives during the Christmas break from school. I added a few more questions to your coaching page. I'm about out of questions to determine your knowledge and skill, and I'm definitely impressed so far. We just need to figure out the best time to run an RFA. Useight (talk) 04:56, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

By the way, having seen some of your edits, I was wonder if I would be able to co-nom when you and Useight decide to create the RfA. Wizardman 04:58, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I;d be co-nomming with Useight. I assume he's doing the nomination. Wizardman 16:44, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
A co-nom would be great. I was thinking that since his previous RFA closed on October 23rd, we should try the next one on the the 23rd of this month because that will be 3 months and a lot of editors think that's how long one should wait. What's your opinion on that date? I'll get a nomination written up in the next couple of days. Useight (talk) 17:18, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
P.S. Your answers to the last set of questions on the coaching page were great. Useight (talk) 17:27, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Would there be room for one more co-nom? I know some people dislike it, but I'd really love to. Best regards, Rudget. 17:52, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Will do. I'll start writing it now. Hope this succeeds, because I have the confidence to say I think you'll be a very good admin. :) Best regards, Rudget. 19:52, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Done - Hope you like it. ;) Rudget. 20:03, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Another proposal...

[edit]

Hi again Stormtracker (don't mean to message you so much, but I'm always thinking of new ideas :)). I have seen a few other WikiProjects with "Coordinators" who apparently help with certain parts of the project. If you go to WP:MILHIST, they have it and explain it all. If you and HPJoker like the idea, I'll propose it at WT:BOSOX. --  jj137 03:32, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

I'd prefer elections, because that way everyone gets a say. :) We can mention it in the newsletter with specifics, that way (anyone who reads it) will know about it.   jj137 21:52, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
