Storm Stegmann

Storm Stegmann (born 2011) is a South African footballer and referee. He currently serves as a goalkeeper for FC Kapstadt and is a Level 2 SAFA referee.

Early Life and Career

Stegmann began his football career in 2018 with Grassboots Football Club, where he developed as a promising young talent. After four years at the club, he left in 2022 to explore other opportunities.

In 2023, he joined Green Point Salesians before eventually transferring to FC Kapstadt, where he plays as a goalkeeper in the under-16 division.

Refereeing Career

In addition to his football career, Stegmann pursued refereeing. He qualified as a Level 2 SAFA referee, achieving an impressive score of 80% on his certification exams. Stegmann’s officiating skills have been praised, but he also faced controversy during a high-stakes cup match between FC Kapstadt and Goodwood United, with critics debating decisions that affected the match outcome.
