Early Life

[edit]

Andrew Stockton was born to Ken and Sally Stockton on April 17, 1992. He is the third of 4 children, having two older sisters (Krista and Dana) and a younger brother (Jacob). Andrew described his early years as being "pleasant, happy days" and although disagreements among siblings were as prevalent in his family as they are in any other, for the most part the young Stockton family lived in peaceful harmony. When asked about his home Andrew said that it was "a center of learning and creativity, where time spent watching TV and playing computer games was carefully measured, but time for drawing, reading, and engaging in creative pursuits could be found in abundance."[1] Andrew now attributes the development of his creativity, which enables him to reach so many others, to the ideals and guidelines established by his parents in his early home.

Missionary Service

[edit]

On November 30, 2011, at the age of 19, Andrew entered the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah to begin his training as a missionary for [[The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints[2]]] (Mormons. His training consisted of a crash course in the Spanish language, a foundation of doctrinal lessons, and a set of effective teaching workshops. This training would prepare him for service as a missionary in Buenos Aires, Argentina for the space of two years, where he would be known by the name Elder Stockton.

Andrew, who describes himself before missionary service as being very timid and afraid to speak with others, cited his mission as "the great learning experience and one of the defining periods of my life", going on to say that during his service as a missionary he developed skills that later enabled him to lead and help others.
