Joe Nordenberg is a character in Joe's Roadtrip, and represents the unartistic style that can be achieved with modern computer animation. He is of Swedish descent.

Role in Joe's Roadtrip

[edit]

It is up to Joe to warn the world that there is no government and that everybody must fend for themselves. He is the protagonist of the story along with his trusty Broom companion.

Character

Creation

[edit]

Joe was created in 2005 completely by Steven Rodrigues. Due to Rodrigues' colourblindness and low art skills, Joe was a horrendous figure. But there was a unique side to him and he was chosen to be the lead character in Joe's Roadtrip since his unartsy design represents so much about Rodrigues himself. Joe is mysteriously invincible, and is hollow on the inside.

Personality

[edit]

Joe is a very lame and boring person. Due to the fact that he cannot die he never gets angry, such as when he is hit by a car he just shrugs it off and continues with what he was doing. He is a very reasonable person but happens to be very dumb with little to no common sense. Joe's actions and thoughts cause him and others a lot of trouble, and this results in many people not liking him. He is very vengeful, and will go to the extreme of kidnapping someone if they happen to bother him too much. Joe's personality does not represent anyone in real life.

Analysis

[edit]

Steven Rodrigues created Joe and originally had the idea of "simple" whenever he thought of Joe. Joe's lack of common sense is supposed to be representative of Rodrigues himself. Since Joe's quality does not meet today's standards, Rodrigues figured that it was too late to make Joe into a likeable character, so he decided to make him purposely lame. Although people still like Joe, nobody has him as a favoured character. Another reason for Joe's blandness is so people watching the movie will focus away from him and end up liking other characters, who Rodrigues put much more effort into making, since Joe is also the last person that Rodrigues wants people liking out of all his other characters in Joe's Roadtrip.
