Bogaris is a Spanish company dedicated to the promotion, development and management of projects in the fields of Real Estate (commercial, industrial and residential), renewable energy and Environment (wind power, photo and thermal power solar, biomass, etc) and Agroindustry (olive oil).

History

1988: Bogaris begins its activities. It starts activities in the field of distribution of agricultural products. Later on, the company reaches an agreement for the distribution of Dupont de Nemours products in Southern Spain.

1989: DETEA company is born, the seed of the Construction and Engineering Division of the current Bogaris as a distribution company of metal structures of variable section.

1990: DETEA passes from an exclusively distribution company to a construction company, in a first phase only as a structure company and then as industrial "turnkey" construction company.

1994: The first development and investment company is constituted for the construction and subsequent delivery to Bridgestone-Firestone of its facilities in Seville on a rental basis. Thus, Bogaris' investment and patrimonial activity is born.

1995: Promotional activities go on with the signing of the contract for the construction and leasing of Carrefour Regulatory Platform for Andalusia and the Canary Islands, on a surface of 70,000 m2 with 43,000 m2 of buildings. The first leases with other multinational retailing companies such as Lidl and Plus are also signed.

1997: As a consequence of its engineering business, Bogaris, through the historic BECOSA, develops its first projects for renewable energy production. The first project launched was a cogeneration project, with an installed capacity of 5.2 MW for Migasa Oil Group. Other similar plants were developed subsequently for this same company.

1998: The first location for developing a business park is signed in Seville. Later on, contracts would be signed with McDonald's, Porcelanosa, Día and Feu Vert, among others.

1999: Bogaris is structured as such, under the name GROUP DETEA, dividing its activities in the four departments of Building and Engineering, Promotion, Energy and Environment and Agriculture.

2002: The land for the promotion "Málaga Nostrum" is acquired for a commercial project. With 190,000 m2, it opened its doors three years later as a Recreation Centre, Factory Outlet, Retaill Park and Business Center.

2003: The Energy and Environment Division carries out its first plant for the Treatment of Waste from Construction and Demolition in the metropolitan area of Seville. This project was followed by those of [[Cadiz] and Huelva. The processing of the first projects of eolian and solar energy also begins in this division. Bogaris makes its first international investment when purchasing a farm of 1,430 ha in Portugal, for an extensive olive grove plantation. The opening of the first office in Eastern Europe takes place this year too, concretely in Bulgaria, for the development of Specialized Promotion Projects.

2005: International expansion projects take place in Poland and Romania. The first Bogaris Eolian Park is launched, with a capacity of 24 MW, in Jerez de la Frontera, as well as the first biomass plant for the total elimination of wastes from olive mill. The first custom factory for rent is promoted, in this case for the multinational label Crown Cork and Seal.

2006: Bogaris investment activity goes on in the field of promotion of "tailor made factories" with projects for Carnaud Metalbox and Schott multinationals. Opening of the Chile and Mexico Delegations for the development of new olive groves.

2007: Bogaris focuses in its investment activities and cease its activities in services, splitting the group's construction and engineering activities and enhancing its Promotion, Energy and Environment and Agriculture divisions. Change to the current Bogaris name from the former GRUPO DETEA.

2008: Bogaris Twentieth Anniversary. The company has focused in the agribusiness sector with the construction and commissioning of its first mill in Portugal, where a million kilograms of oil have been produced, 100% coming from olives grown on farms owned by the Group.

Bogaris presence spands worldwide, but they are mainly concentrated in Spain, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria and Chile.

Divisions

Real Estate

This division conducts the Group’s investment in highly specialized real estate sectors. The activities include design, permitting, construction and property management of the schemes.

• Bogaris Retail: It develops, and manages in the long-term, the commercial schemes of the Group. The kind of projects developed include Retail Parks, proximity schemes designed for middle-sized specialized retailersand stand-alone units. Because of its philosophy of green-field developer and investor, Bogaris Retail is involved in the whole process of develoment of the project, from its very first concept and maintains its ownership in the long term.

• Bogaris Industrial: It promotes and manages industrial, business and logistics parks. Its "turnkey" activity includes land acquisition, urban development thereof, design, drafting and permitting of building projects, custom construction of facilities and their subsequent transfer on a rental basis.

• Bogaris Residential: It develops and manages tourism, residential and hotel projects.

Energy & Environment

It represents the activity of generation of electric power through renewable sources and recycling of waste. It develops, builds, operates and maintains the plants included in these two sectors.

• Bogaris Energy: It produces electricity through renewable energies and cogeneration. Its promotion and investment activity ranges from plant design, obtaining of permits and licenses, to the construction and operation of facilities, their management and also the sale of the produced electricity. It has developed projects of cogeneration, sludge drying, wind energy, solar photovoltaic energy and biomass. Currently, it is involved in the study and development of high temperature solar projects, off-shore eolian projects and production of biofuels.

• Bogaris Environment: It invests in the construction and management of waste treatment and reuse plants. It currently exploits six plants for the treatment of CDW (Construction and Demolition Waste).

Agroindustry

It represents the company's activity in agricultural production and agroindustry. It transforms farms, designs and builds processing industries and markets the resulting end product.

• Bogaris Agriculture: It invests in the acquisition and transformation of farmland for the production of olive oil and its further commercialization.
