From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bidding 2.0 is a term used to describe an open-bidding system allowing bidders and users to easily collaborate, communicate, and share information. This new way of thinking opens up a many-to-many communication channel which was once never allowed by standard bidding 1.0 tools.

By opening up a once closed system leads to many new opportunities for both businesses and consumers. Biddding 2.0 fosters increased market competition while at the same time lowering the cost for services. Some are calling it the marking of Bidwars.

Bidding 2.0 leverages the many aspects of Web 2.0, Advertising 2.0, and Marketing 2.0.

Bidwilly, the first system to leverage Bidding 2.0 techniques is scheduled to release October 2008.
