Quickbooks Hosting is a type of Internet service allowing individuals and organizations to access their Quickbook company files via the World Wide Web. Quickbook hosting companies provide companies and individuals with connectivity to Quickbooks applications maintained on the Quickbooks hosting companies data center and servers.
Today. there are three main types of hosting providers that deliver Quickbooks to clients. The most robust delivery method is through the Citrix metaframe. Citrix technology provides an efficient user interface that manages to connection between the end user and the client and allows the end user to access the full desktop version of Quickbooks. The next most robust delivery method is Microsoft Terminal Services. Terminal Services allows access to the desktop version of Quickbooks, but the technology is not as fast as Citrix and there can be issues with printing and latency versus Citix. The third method od Quickbooks Hosting is the web based version of Quickbooks. This technology currently has many limitations versus the Citrix or terminal Services hosted solution, the primary limitation being that the full desktop version is not available to the end user.
