Alex Bailey

Alex Bailey is a Canadian filmmaker and producer (born 1994/1995).[1] known for the documentary Êmîcêtôcêt: Many Bloodlines[2]

Bailey's work has selected as a Toronto International Film Festival Top 10 in 2020[3], won HotDocs best Canadian short docs in 2020 [4] and nominated for a Canadian screen award in 2021.[5] Bailey is also an advocate for female filmmakers and credits TIFF with nurturing her career. [1]

She began her film making journey at 14, winning top prize at TIFF's Jump Cuts Film Festival.[6]

Personal life

Bailey is an avid thrifter and makes social media videos about sustainability on social media.[7]
