Smriti Mathema her undergraduate MBBS degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, India and her postgraduate MD residency training in Pediatrics from Kasturba Medical College, India to qualify as a Pediatrician in 2010. With a special interest in preventive and social pediatrics, she is a trained Vaccinologist and an Immunization advocate. She recently graduated from the IPA-LEAD program, a 2.5 years long mentored leadership program on global child health by International Pediatric Association and GHLI, Yale University. She currently is the executive member of Nepal Pediatric Society (NEPAS) and chairs the NEPAS Immunization Committee. She is member of the Training Committee of the Medical Education Department at KMC. She is also the postgraduate coordinator of her department. She is a member of the Breastfeeding Committee and runs the Lactation Consultation and Breastfeeding Support Clinic at KMC.
