Contributions
[edit]1. Contribution to one article related to my hometown: Cesenatico (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Cesenatico)
2. Contribution to one article related to immaterial heritage in Cesenatico territory (Romagna): Liscio (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Liscio)
Description of the contribution and use of sources\citations
[edit]1. As far as the contribution to the previously mentioned Wikipedia article related to Cesenatico, I added a part to the paragraph called “Main sights”. The content that was inserted was taken from the book by Gianfranco Lauretano, Cesenatico nello sguardo, nella mente, nel cuore, (Cesena, IL VICOLO- Divisione Libri, 2011, page 112), that I managed to consult from the municipal library of Cesenatico after some researches from the online archive and some consultatiosn with the librarians. This short intervention that I added introduces the importance of the port canal in Cesenatico: as it is nowadays one of the most visited parts of the town, I thought that a small paragraph related to Porto Canale Leonardesco was necessary.
I also translated some paragraphs from the Italian Wikipedia page of Cesenatico but only after checking the reliability of the information: indeed, I noticed that in some sections (Università, Museo della Marineria and Spazio Pantani) there were no sources mentioned in the bibliography. This is why, before translating the content, I double checked in the following websites:
http://museomarineria.comune.cesenatico.fc.it/servizi/Menu/dinamica.aspx?idSezione=23222&idArea=23223&idCat=23223&ID=23223&TipoElemento=area (for the Seafaring Museum)
http://www.casamoretti.it/servizi/Menu/dinamica.aspx?idSezione=17227&idArea=17231&idCat=17231&ID=17231&TipoElemento=area (for Marino Moretti’s house-museum)
http://www.pantani.it/home-en/ (for Spazio Pantani)
http://biblioteca.comune.cesenatico.fc.it/servizi/notizie/notizie_homepage.aspx (for the Musicipal library)
https://corsi.unibo.it/1cycle/Acquaculture (for the University)
After this passage, I translated the parts related to these fundamental tourism, heritage and cultural resources of the town (the Seafaring Museum of Cesenatico, Marino Moretti’s house-museum, Spazio Pantani, Municipal library and University). The next passage was to add the English content to the section “monuments and places of Interest” of the English Wikipedia page of Cesenatico.
2. As far as the contribution to the Wikipedia article related to liscio is concerned, I added a part related to how this immaterial heritage linked to music and dance has always been part of the traditional background of Romagna (where Cesenatico is located). I also mentioned the importance of liscio as a tool for the valorisation of immaterial heritage in the territory The content was found from the book by Gianfranco Miro Gori, Romagnamia- Passato e presente di una canzone tra la provincia e il mondo (Argelato (BO), Minerva Edizioni, 2004) and more specifically from the chapter by Paola Sorbero called Il demone del ballo- Il liscio fra tradizione e progetto.

Involvement of stakeholders
[edit]I cooperated and involved stakeholders to find the right sources to write my interventions so I decided to make a research from the online archive of the Municipal library of Cesenatico to find some books, essays or local publications related to Cesenatico and to liscio (Romagna’s immaterial heritage) It was really useful because I found some interesting books but it was in this moment that I dedided to go directly to the library to ask the librarian which was the most reliable and precise choice to find relevant material. The results of thin online and offline research were satisfying (see the use of Gianfranco Lauretano, Cesenatico nello sguardo, nella mente, nel cuore, Cesena, IL VICOLO- Divisione Libri, 2011 and Paola Sorbero, Il demone del ballo- Il liscio fra tradizione e progetto in Gianfranco Miro Gori, Romagnamia- Passato e presente di una canzone tra la provincia e il mondo, Argelato (BO), Minerva Edizioni, 2004, from the paragraph “Description of the contribution and use of sources\citations”) I also consulted some of my colleeagues from PMTS course (University of Bergamo) in order to better understand the use of sources and the functioning of a subpage on Wikipedia accounts.
Practical relevance and fallouts of the assignment
[edit]Since it was the first time I made interventions on Wikipedia, at the beginning I was confused on the use of sources, the creation of links and the functioning of the subpage. The forum and my colleagues helped me to have a better understanding of the functioning of the Wikipedia system.
