Skyler Dutter (Born December 10, 2004), better known by his YouTube persona, OG_GaMeR, is an American video game streamer.
Dutter began YouTube on December 4th, 2018 at the age of 13. He started off with mobile games such as Subway Surfers, Pixel Gun 3D, and Hide Online.
Early Life
Skyler Dutter was born on December 10th, 2004 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to his mother, Jessica Shipton, and his father, John Dutter. Living in Pennsylvania, Skyler went on to be taught in many schools ranging from Loyalsock Valley to Riverside Junior Senior High School. Dutter graduates from Riverside in June of 2023. Throughout Skyler's early life, he's created countless YouTube channels that revolved around many different themes. None of his recent channels managed to make it as far as his current channel has. In the 8th grade, Skyler decided to start yet another YouTube channel, OG_GaMeR, with the help of his friend SZNClipz (AKA. Cameron Capwell). Failed Channels
Dutter began his strive for being a youtuber at the age of 9 when he watched youtubers like Jelly, Denis, and his personal favorite, Typical Gamer. He created many different channels before his current iconic channel, OG_GaMeR. He talked about that briefly in his First Ever Video.
Silver Sailor
He started off with his first channel titled "Silver Sailor" where he did toy unboxing videos and WWE Wrester videos. His eldest sister made fun of that name due to how silly it sounded, so he ended up deleting the channel and starting from scratch.
Red Panda
Immediately after deleting the channel, Skyler decided to create a new name for himself, Red Panda. On this channel, he decided to make short Minecraft Let's Play videos. Or at least he planned to anyway. He didn't end up making any videos on the channel and eventually forgot about it. He forgot the login and that was the end.
Redd101Games
Another channel he tried was called Redd101Games. It was originally going to be started with a video on Pixel Gun 3D's Career Mode but the video was eventually scrapped due to editing issues. This channel was briefly mentioned in OG's video "Pixel Gun with Tan Jesus". Overall, this channel remained Inactive.
20 Dollar Gaming
Finally, the channel that he created before taking on the name OG_GaMeR was 20 Dollar Gaming. At the time, Skyler wanted a channel that revolved around a certain something and wanted money. OG_GaMeR says, "I was sort of out of ideas at this point. I had absolutely no good YouTube name ideas and I wasn't about to ask Tan Jesus for any name ideas because the only thing I'd get out of him was the word 'Foot'." He started out with only one video which was a soundtrack created on an app called Music Maker Jam. The song was titled "Rocky Road". He was considering keeping the channel until his friend, SZNClipz, gave him a new name.
OG_ GaMeR
Skyler began YouTube as OG_GaMeR on December 4th, 2018. But, he didn't upload his first, yet cringe, video until a day later, December 5th, 2018. He uploaded mobile game videos during the early days of his channel playing games such as Pixel Gun 3D, Hide Online, Subway Surfers, Traffic Rider, and Bitlife. It wasn't until January 22nd of 2019 that he uploaded his first "good enough" Roblox video. Although it had zero audio, it was still better than mobile gameplay. He went on to create more soundless Roblox videos until June 6th, 2019 when he made his video "Flee the Facility: Roblox Gameplay". Not only was that video the beginning of decent Roblox content, but it was also the verbal birth of OG_GaMeR's channel mascot, Bob McClain.
He went on to create his first Call of Duty video shortly after uploading one of his personal favorite videos on his channel, "Tan Jesus Fortnite RAGE". But, it wasn't until July 14th, 2019, that he streamed his very first PS4 gameplay on Ubisoft's Watchdogs. Day after day, OG created videos that people could watch and laugh to. He went on to stream Watchdogs 3 more times after that.
OG's Roblox Era
After a bit of Watchdogs, OG_GaMeR decided bring his channel into a whole other direction. He wanted to become the next DenisDaily. He wanted to play Roblox. He played many games on roblox, creating a total of 74 Roblox videos on his channel overall. He created a TV-like series on the games Apocalypse Rising, that went on for 5 seasons, and a seasonal series called 12 Days of OG. He even made a Roblox obby video on June 2nd, 2020 where he challenged DenisDaily to an obby.
OG's Fortnite Era
OG_GaMeR says, "Ever since I heard of the game Fortnite, I've wanted to try it. I looked up videos on the game and it most definitely looked like a game I'd play. Ever since, I've tried to find a way to play it." Fortnite didn't make it's first on OG's channel until Early 2020. "I found Fortnite way earlier but I wanted to wait for Tan Jesus to train me so I was somewhat good and ready to stream considering Tan is a GOD at Fortnite compared to me at the time. Besides, with Covid-19 being around, It gave me a good chance to stream the game." OG says. Then, on April 14th, 2020, OG_GaMeR streamed Fortnite for the very first time. But, he oddly only made one for a while. "I didn't make a new one immediately after because I wanted to wait for a positive response. Basically, I wanted to see if making Fortnite content was a good idea. Turns out, It was the best idea and choice I've ever made due to my current fan-base." OG said.
Fortnite didn't make it's return to his channel until a month later when he live streamed the beginning of his iconic series, "The Dynamic Duo of Oh Jesus", where he played with his best friend and current YouTube partner, Tan Jesus. After that he began streaming Fortnite more often. Making a new "Oh Jesus" video 2 days later. This new "Oh Jesus" video being their most popular collaboration video overall. They went on to create 4 "Oh Jesus" videos, Part 1, Foot Finger Pie, The Quest for a Dub, and The Banana Clan.
