Hello, I am a new contributer to Wikipedia. I am an academic, involved with ongoing research in anthropology, ecology and evolution. I also have interests in the philosophy of knowledge and science, and am a self-proclaimed skeptic. That said, I am aware that people often confound the meanings of the words skeptic and cynic, and encourage all to avoid such an error.
