  • HDX has just 2: people in unrwa shelters, and MoH reports of injuries/deaths.
  • Let's see what we can extract by hand from sitreps.

OCHA

[edit]

OCHA sitreps, even more than the UNRWA sitreps, are full of useful tidbits, though not overly structured or machine-readable. Something like 'Weekend' summaries.

Their Center for Humanitarian Data team maintains a catalog of predictive models. A superset of the current OCHA reports might include a model with parameters for the various features they occasionally report.

Of the latter 510k people are in 92 shelters in Middle, KY, and R areas (+13k since last update) Shelters have increasingly desperate conditions, hindered by 36-hr comms blackout, and mounting tensions. Most are at 4x their capacity, and cannot expand further, forcing new IDPs to sleep on the streets. Break-ins suffered to UNRWA warehouses and distribution centres. Current resources cannot cover the most basic needs of IDPs (specify?) and host communities. (specify! since these are also providing some hot meals to shelters)
  • Shelter stats: Resident updates – KY Training Center – 22k 2 schools in Maghazi – 30k.
