Third Sector refers to the sector of the economy that is niether Government run nor a part of the for-profit sector.

Since economic, social and legal systems vary widely, the scope, form, and understanding of Third Sector organizations also varies from country to country, and even within countries there is sometimes depbate over what the sector contains.

Some countries have well defined legal structures that give seperate recognsed status to organizations that successfully apply, in other countries organizations use the structures already in place for for-profit buisnesses.
