From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) was founded in 1977 as a reaction to the growing problem of paper deterioration occurring in repositories in the New England area. Currently one of the largest non-profit regional conservation labs in the country, and located in Phildelphia, PA, the CCAHA specializes in the treatment of art and historic artifacts on paper. The Center also offers courses in disaster planning, and records and archives management. Its courses are intended for preservationists, conservators, art and antiquarian book sellers and collectors, archivists, rare book librarians, and museum curators.
