The course is divided as per different materials of different tals. So if say the 1st course is of tal Teental then in the 2nd course will have a different tal. In one course, materials provided for all tals in each course will have materials like, Kismas, Kaydas, Tukadas, Mukadas, Chakradhar, Tripalis, Tihais, Parans, Laggis, Paribhashas (definitions) of different concepts in Tabla or in Classical music. But note that Tala Dadra doesn't have Kaydas, Relas, Tukadas, Mukadas but it just has Laggis and Kismas (variations).
