When I was a kid I wanted to be an actress. Or an archaeologist. Later, in university, my philosophy professor once asked, “Where the hell did you learn to write like that?” I figured that meant I was pretty good at forming cohesive sentences. The remark stuck with me and my career path took shape.

Some might say I’ve had an eclectic past. I’ve worked for Internet start-ups, upstart activists and pseudo-government organizations. But the constant has always been a position that included a significant amount of writing. Back in 2000, I began moonlighting as a freelance marketing communications specialist. I liked it so much I decided to pursue it full-time.

Since then, I’ve helped countless organizations target their business communications to build and grow their businesses. My portfolio includes e-business consulting for small and medium businesses, web content development and project management for the technology and non-profit sectors, and marketing communications management. I’ve been published in print and online. And, my community involvement has included an advisor position with the CSSD – Internet Business Development for Persons with Disabilities and the BC Public Legal Education Portal, and membership with Wired Woman, The International Internet Marketing Association and Digital Eve.
