[edit]- Any pre-Hot Chip info
From the age of 16 Taylor wanted to create music, a desire that came to fruition after he met Joe Goddard, fellow Hot Chip member, at school during a wrestling match in the playground.[1][2]
- Info pertaining to first album and onwards
In 2004, Taylor worked at Domino Records, where he wrote press releases and updated the website.[1] When asked about his hopes for the year following the release of Hot Chip's debut album Coming on Strong, Taylor stated he hoped he could give his day job of working there.[3]
- Solo work
Taylor's work on his solo career has included playing a solo set at Shepherds Bush Empire and the release of his solo album, Rubbed Out.[4]
- Random stuff to slot in
Taylor stated that he was not the most competent computer user of the group in regards to creating music, and said he found making good music that he would enjoy to be a challenge.[5]
In an interview with Paul Lester from The Guardian conducted with Todd Rundgren and Hot Chip, discussion involved the effect of drugs on music recordings, in which Taylor said he was interested in the concept of using drugs for "controlled exploration of the senses for artistic ends" but did not "see it happening with [him]".[6]
