From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There's more than meets the eye with coaching. When I coach, I seek to know you first: your personality, your habits, your strengths and your weaknesses. The core of adminship is the concept of IAR, so with the questions I give you, there is no one right answer. There may be wrong answers, but I hope that you'll answer honestly regardless. All questions are optional as well; if you'd rather not answer a question, I won't force you to answer it. Ready? Let's start.

Traditional RFA questions

[edit]
  • What admin areas do you intend to work in?
    • A:I am interested an AfD's and Vandal blocks/deletions. I have also discovered, just recently that I would like to help in conflict resolution.
  • What conflicts have caused you stress and how have you dealt with them? How have you learned from them?
    • A:I haven't had too many disputes, I had a notable dispute on the Kathie Lee Giford Page in 2008. I was able to truly see the meaning of WP:TRUTH. In other conflicts, I simply try to keep a level head, I see it as a bad mark when an editor clicks the edit button and acts inmaturely based on emotions.
  • What do you believe are your best contributions?
    • A:As an editor, I am proud of all the articles I have created, as well as my work on WP:MAL, WP:CCISTF, WP:CSEC. I am also proud of my ability to mediate between hot headed editors.

Note I did go through an RFA, archive at :Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Sephiroth storm

I did look through your RFA when it was on, and I had the impression that if you had waited and gotten a little more experience, you probably would have succeeded. Now, you mentioned conflict resolution a lot. Could you elaborate more on your experience with resolution? bibliomaniac15 00:57, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Of course. Occasionaly I see a conflict going on, maybe in Deletion requests or ANI. Sometimes I'll offer my advice on the situation without getting specificly involved in the article, but generally it leads into editing, but I try to not take a side. Examples are: [1] [2], [3] [4] [5], [6] Sephiroth storm (talk) 23:53, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
