Frank Dodd is a fictional character created by Stephen King in his 1979 novel The Dead Zone. Dodd is a Deputy Sheriff in the Castle Rock Police Department who is secretly a serial killer/rapist who committed suicide before he could be caught by Johnny Smith and Sheriff George Bannerman. Posthumously Dodd becomes a legend in the town of Castle Rock and is referenced again in King's novels Cujo, Needful Things and It.
