Edit this section to compile the bibliography for your Wikipedia assignment. Add the name and/or notes about what each source covers, then use the "Cite" button to generate the citation for that source.

Maragos, J. E., Crosby, M. P., & McManus, J. W. (1996). Coral Reefs and Biodiversity: A Critical and Threatened Relationship. Oceanography, 9(1), 83–99. http://www.jstor.org/stable/43925545

  • This is a journal article published by The Oceanography Society, so it should be a reliable source. It covers information about coral reefs and biodiversity. The article covers multiple ocean related initiatives, including the ICRI, which shows the extensive and reliable research done by the article, which is helpful in establishing notability. [1]

Hinrichsen, D. (1997). Coral Reefs in Crisis. BioScience, 47(9), 554–558. https://doi.org/10.2307/1313160

  • This is a journal articles published by Oxford University press, so it should be a reliable source. It covers the the crisis coral reefs are facing why the ICRI is important to helping them. It goes into depth about the International Coral Reef Initiative and its core beliefs and reasons for its creation, so it's helpful in establishing notability. [2]

Reaser, J. K., Pomerance, R., & Thomas, P. O. (2000). Coral Bleaching and Global Climate Change: Scientific Findings and Policy Recommendations. Conservation Biology, 14(5), 1500–1511. http://www.jstor.org/stable/2641802

  • This is a journal article published by Wiley, an academic publisher. The article talks about the policies the ICRI has endorsed and supported to slow coral bleaching and combat climate change. Since the article only mentions the ICRI in a few specific spots, it does not support establishing notability.[3]

Outline of proposed changes

The sources I've identified will be able to reveal current information about the International Coral Reef Initiative that can expand its wikipedia page. The ICRI's current wikipedia page has content gaps in the 'Networks and Committees' section and the identified sources will be helpful in expanding that section of the page. There is also a content gap when talking about policy recommendations and endorsements done by the ICRI and the identified sources will help create and expand that section of the page. The identified sources also include information about collaborations between the ICRI and other oceanic initiatives which is something important to note and the sources will be able to create and expand that section of its wikipedia page.
