Article Review

Ever since I was little, I've loved shopping. Shopping online, shopping at the mall, you name it. Alderwood Mall is one of the biggest malls in this area, so the Wikipedia page for it should be just as full. I want the Wikipedia page to represent how good the mall actually is and with that in mind, I visited the Alderwood Mall page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: the lack of current information, the lack of citations and reliable sources, and the inclusion of pictures on the page.

Current Information

Most of the information on the Wikipedia page for Alderwood Mall is about the opening of it up to the early 2000s. I feel that it would be more helpful if there was more current and relevant information such as what stores are available at the moment, events happening, etc. A list of malls or a map of the current outlay of the store would be relevant.

Citations/Reliable Sources

There are some citations on the Alderwood Mall Wikipedia page, but there could definitely be more. There is only one reference, and the date at the bottom of the webpage is 2009. The information still seems pretty correct, but I feel like there could be at least one more current webpage added to the references. Additionally, there is only one external link, which is the mall's own website. That one is in fact reliable since it is updated quite often.

Inclusion of Pictures

Even though some of the other aspects of the Alderwood Mall Wikipedia page aren't super good, the authors of the page included pictures that are really helpful with getting the mental image of what the mall actually looks like. Also, it includes a sidebar that has a map showing where in the world the mall is, the opening date, the developer, management, and owner, and a few more important details about the mall itself.

Summary

Overall, I'd say this page is okay. It gave me pretty good information, and had some interesting facts as well like that the world's first Zumiez store is in Alderwood Mall. The sources cited however seem to be a bit outdated, so if anyone is fixing this article to be "perfect" they would definitely need to do a lot of research to find good information about the mall today. I hope that my edits helped to make the Alderwood Mall Wikipedia page a bit better.

My name is Cassidy and I am a student at Everett Community College. I am interested in majoring in Law and minoring in performing arts. I do musical theater at Village Theater, and I also occasionally do film acting. Right now I am on a TV show called Not So Simple that is scheduled to air sometime in 2020. I additionally enjoy playing sports. Basketball and volleyball are my favorites. I've been playing basketball since I was 5 and volleyball since I was 9, and I'm also a black belt in tae kwon do. I love hanging out with my friends and shopping.

Some things on Wikipedia I could see myself writing about are celebrities, sports, theater, and the education system. I would also be interested in possibly looking up things I'm trying to major in such as different types of lawyers to see which kind I might want to be. Wikipedia is a super useful site, and I'm glad that it exists at the same time I do.
