                                                      UDALGURI COLLEGE
    

    Udalguri College, one of the oldest institutions in the region, was established in the year 1979 with the primary aim to provide quality educations for the native students of Udalguri. Now it's acting as the main centre for higher educations for the entire  Udalguri District as well as for neighbouring districts and states. 
    Going back to the history, the college was founded by Mr. Sailendra Nath Brahma(he has been the principal of the college since he founded).

The early classes were started at Harimu Bhawan, Sundardiapati, with the lone Arts Stream. It was then shifted to the main campus at Goraibari, approximately 2.5 km(South) from the main town. In 1996, Science Stream was also introduced.

    At present it is offering the following courses(affliated to Gauhati University):-
    1) H.S. in Arts and Science(under AHSEC)
    2) T.D.C. in Arts and science
    3) Computer courses
    The college has been doing/ yeilding good results since its inceptions. Students, after completing their courses at Udalguri College, undergo their higher studies at most leading universities and institutions viz. Gauhati University, Tezpur University, Assam University, Delhi University, Hindu College, National Institutes of Technology, etc.
